Barbara Healy is a trusted leadership advisor, executive coach and facilitator dedicated to the professional and personal development of leaders. She works with fortune 500 companies, health care, academia, and well-known non-profits. Barbara has a proven track record of assisting and guiding both senior and emerging high potential leaders in attaining greater levels of achievement, fulfillment and empowerment in all areas of their lives while delivering excellence and profits to their organizations. Over the past 25 years, Barbara has held numerous leadership positions. Barbara’s career and passion for health care began in San Francisco, working at St. Francis Hospital and Washington Health network (HMO/PPO). She served as Vice President of Corporate Learning & Development at People’s United Bank and was Executive Director of Communities In Schools. She has taken her expertise in “all things talent management” to numerous clients. A life-long learner, Barbara is a master facilitator of The Coaching Clinic. She is certified in Positive Psychology, Team Emotional Intelligence and Communication Styles. With an M.S. in organizational systems renewal and whole systems design, she is also a graduate of Harvard Kennedy School’s The Art and Practice of Leadership Development and Boeing Company’s Accelerated Quality Improvement Program as well as Corporate Coach University. Barbara has studied with Stephen Covey and Peter Senge and is currently a co-investigator for a research project at a large health care institution looking at matching physician and patient communication styles for higher patient satisfaction. She is a founding member of the United Way of Greater New Haven’s women’s leadership council and has been featured in numerous publications including Mastering the Art of Success. Barbara facilitates and presents at multiple conferences, organizations and associations nationally, particularly on emotional intelligence, employee engagement, communication, positive psychology and women’s leadership development.
